On July 21, 2005, defendant, Darryl Young, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1 and with possession with intent to distribute marijuana in violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A). Defendant pled not guilty to these charges at his arraignment on July 22, 2005. The trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress evidence on August 22, 2005...
