The defendant, Karl Kornbrekke, was tried in Superior Court (Fitzgerald, J.) on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, RSA 632-A:2 (2007), resulting in a mistrial. Upon retrial in Superior Court (McHugh, J.) in September 2006, he was convicted on the identical counts. On appeal, he challenges the trial court's ruling precluding him from cross-examining the complainant about, or introducing extrinsic evidence of, a prior false accusation...
