OPINION OF THE COURT

PETERS, J.

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of murder in the first degree. His conviction stems from the December 30, 2003 fatal shooting of the victim, a confidential informant who defendant arranged to be killed in order to prevent his testimony in defendant's January 2004 drug trial.
