Following a bench trial, defendant, Wlodzimierz Ciechanowski, was found guilty of aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI) based on driving under the influence during a period in which his driving privileges had been suspended for refusing to submit to a sobriety test after a prior arrest for suspected DUI (625 ILCS 5/11-501(c-1)(1) (West 2004)). Defendant was subsequently sentenced to 10 days...
