Plaintiff Chicago Province of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) owned a building in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood that collapsed, following the demolition of the building next door. Plaintiff First Nonprofit Insurance Company (First Nonprofit) had insured the Jesuit building and paid plaintiff Jesuits close to $2 million for their insurance claim. Plaintiffs Jesuits and First NonProfit then sued 12 defendants...
