EDMUNDS, Justice.

In this case, we consider whether the trial court should have allowed defendant's motion for continuance when the State failed to provide timely discovery to defendant. Although we conclude the trial court abused its discretion in failing to grant a continuance, we hold that the error was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt. We vacate the ruling of the Court of Appeals remanding this case to the trial court for a hearing concerning the trial court...
