¶1. On the morning of July 23, 2005, the body of Ricky Taylor was found by the side of a road in Sardis, Mississippi. Taylor had been shot once in the head at close range and once in the left leg. Jimmy Jenkins lived approximately 175 feet from where Taylor's body was found.
