A Fayette County jury found the defendant, Ken Alan Thoman, guilty of aggravated battery, and the circuit court sentenced him to 90 days in the county jail and 24 months' probation. Approximately three weeks before the termination of the defendant's probation, the State filed a petition to revoke, alleging that the defendant had failed to satisfy a condition of his probation.
