The Newaygo Circuit Court, Family Division (hereafter referred to as the family court), terminated the parental rights of the minors' father on February 22, 2006, and of their mother, Erica Keast, on May 10, 2006. The court committed the children to the custody of the Department of Human Services (DHS) for permanency planning, supervision, care, and placement pursuant to MCR 400.203.
