Shortly after midnight on June 23, 2004, Louis Mathews and Scott Turner left a bar in Mashpee and began walking the short distance to a house where Turner had been staying. Later that morning, Turner's badly battered body was discovered on the lawn of a house located in the same neighborhood. Mathews was charged with Turner's murder and, following a five-day jury trial, was convicted of murder in the first degree...
