Defendant was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2) (West 2006)). The arresting officer, De Kalb County sheriff's deputy Paul Delisio, served defendant with written notice of the statutory summary suspension of his driving privileges. According to the notice, defendant had refused to submit to testing to determine the content of alcohol or other drugs in his blood...
