Abosede Abdulahi pleaded guilty (without a plea agreement) to a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. See 21 U.S.C. §§ 846, 841(a)(1). Although drug quantity is not an element of the charged crime, the indictment alleged that Abdulahi's offense involved "in excess of 100 grams of mixtures containing heroin."
