This appeal is rooted in a transaction that occurred on September 11, 1998, when Edward Saunders, M.D. (the "Decedent"), sold property located in Washington, D.C. to 2107 Brandywine, LLC and 2109 Brandywine, LLC (collectively, "Brandywine" or "Obligors"), appellees. In connection with the transaction, the Obligors executed a "Deferred Purchase Money Promissory Note" (the "Note"), secured by a Deed of Trust. After Dr. Saunders died on November 6, 2002...
