This criminal appeal arises from the First Judicial District Court, Parish of Caddo, State of Louisiana. A jury convicted defendant, Marcus Chatman, of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. The trial court sentenced him to 15 years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Chatman was given credit for time served, and the trial court ordered that his sentence be served consecutively...
