In this case, the defendant, Tihe D. Cummings, entered a Crosby guilty plea to attempted possession of cocaine, in violation of La.R.S 14:27 and La.R.S. 40:967, and to attempted possession of hydrocodone, in violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and La.R.S. 40:968. The trial court ordered him to serve two and a half years at hard labor and to pay a $750 fine for the attempted possession of cocaine conviction. The trial court then imposed the same sentence...
