While serving a prison sentence of 7½ to 22½ years for his conviction of manslaughter in the first degree, petitioner was released on parole in December 2004. In May 2005, after being arrested and criminally charged with assault in the third degree and resisting arrest, petitioner was charged with violating the conditions of his parole that forbade him from behavior which violates the provisions of any law that provides for a period of imprisonment...
