¶ 1 Steven P. Graves appeals from a judgment of the Thurston County Superior Court, affirming the Employment Security Department's (ESD) denial of his claim for unemployment benefits. An Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) entered a default judgment in favor of ESD after Graves failed to appear for a hearing on his appeal.
