In 1999, the parties, who were domestic partners, purchased a residence in the Town of Roxbury, Delaware County for approximately $175,000, taking title as tenants in common. Although the parties had a tumultuous relationship, for approximately two years they hosted home visits and mentored a young child in foster care. The parties were pursuing a joint adoption of the child in 2004, but were both forbidden from having any further contact with the child...
