In these consolidated appeals, the defendant, Keith McDaniel, pled guilty to aggravated battery and distribution of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, cocaine. He was sentenced to serve seven years at hard labor for aggravated battery and 15 years at hard labor for distribution of cocaine, with the first two years to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The sentences were ordered to be served concurrently...
