Plaintiff, Louellen Smith, filed a petition against defendant, Acadiana Mortgage of Louisiana, Inc. ("Acadiana Mortgage"), seeking unpaid wages, penalties and attorney fees pursuant to LSA-R.S. 23:631, 632. Following a trial, the court ruled in favor of plaintiff, finding that Acadiana Mortgage owed plaintiff $755.60 in past due wages. The trial court also found that Acadiana Mortgage arbitrarily and unreasonably failed to pay plaintiff and awarded penalty...
