Defendant/appellant, Reginald Berry ("Berry"), appeals his conviction and sentence for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1.

Berry pled not guilty at arraignment. Thereafter, his motion to suppress evidence and statement was denied. Berry proceeded to trial on July 19, 2007, following which the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged. Berry was subsequently sentenced to fifteen...
