Richard Eugene Everman, Jr., pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g). Having reserved his right to do so, Everman appeals from the district court's1 denial of his motion to suppress his statement and the firearm seized from his vehicle on the ground that the statement was obtained in violation of Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436
