On February 13, 2003, defendant Melody Bruce (hereinafter defendant) performed a surgical procedure to remove a mass from the left ovary of plaintiff Mechal Cellupica (hereinafter plaintiff). After the procedure, plaintiff was told both of her ovaries were removed.
