Eva Hofrichter/Stiakakis ("Hofrichter") sued the City of Atlanta for nuisance arising from its failure to properly maintain a storm pipe that traversed and served her property, resulting in extensive, flooding of the land and her home. Following a bench trial, the trial court awarded $510,376 in damages attributable to the nuisance and $325,148 in costs of litigation and attorney fees.
