Robert Ross (petitioner) appeals from an October 2, 2007 order of the Law Division that denied his petition for expungement of his conviction for third-degree bribery, N.J.S.A. 2C:27-6. In denying expungement, the judge relied on a portion of N.J.S.A. 2C:52-2 that permits expungement of an indictable conviction only if the petitioner "has not been convicted of a prior or subsequent crime."
