This is a medical malpractice case. This suit arises out of an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) Dr. Edward Campbell performed on Ellie Tipton. Alleging malpractice and failure to obtain an informed consent, Ms. Tipton sued Dr. Campbell. After settling with Dr. Campbell for less than $100,000, Ms. Tipton proceeded to trial against the Louisiana Patient's Compensation Fund ("PCF").
