Opinion by STEVEN C. HILBIG, Justice.

Appellant, Jacob B. Salinas, pled nolo contendere to driving while intoxicated. In a single issue on appeal, Salinas asserts the trial court erred in denying his pretrial motion to suppress. We reverse and remand.

WAIVER

As an initial matter, the State contends Salinas waived his right to appeal because he did not obtain a written ruling on his motion to suppress prior to entering his plea....
