This case comes to us on appeal from the postconviction court's denial of petitioner Brian Keith Pippitt's petition for postconviction relief. Pippitt was convicted of the first-degree premeditated murder of Evelyn Malin and first-degree murder while committing burglary. For these crimes, Pippitt received two concurrent life sentences.
