The defendant, Susan Mendelson, is charged with a violation of section 168-16 of the Code of the Town of Oyster Bay alleging that on August 1, 2006, at 7:15 P.M., in John J. Burns Park, a park owned and maintained by the Town of Oyster Bay, she was distributing leaflets on behalf of "Jews for Jesus" without a permit.
