These cases arise from a disaster that occurred on November 11, 2000, in which a ski train in Kaprun, Austria caught fire, killing 155 people. American and foreign survivors and/or relatives of those who died in the fire brought a number of lawsuits in federal court against numerous defendants alleging, inter alia, negligence and strict liability.
