The Hughes Springs Volunteer Ambulance Service, a nonprofit corporation originally established "to operate an ambulance service," no longer fulfills that original purpose. A claim seeking to have a receiver appointed for the Service, or alternatively to dissolve the Service, was brought by two parties: the City of Hughes Springs, which claims to be a creditor of the Service...
