A Newton County jury convicted Kevin Jay Collins of aggravated battery and reckless conduct after he broke his girlfriend's neck during an argument. On appeal from the denial of his amended motion for new trial, Collins contends that there was insufficient evidence to convict him and that he received ineffective assistance of counsel. For the reasons discussed below, we reject Collins' sufficiency of the evidence and ineffective assistance claims. However...
