Diego Garcia's parents and the administrator of his estate (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "Mirandas") brought this malpractice action for Garcia's wrongful death, asserting that the hospitals and their physicians1 failed to keep a sufficient watch on Garcia, resulting in his death by suicide the next day.
