¶ 1 ANDERSON, J.

Jennifer Wery pled not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to the charge of first-degree intentional homicide. In Phase I, the criminal guilt phase of the bifurcated trial, the jury unanimously concluded that Wery was guilty of the crime. The court accepted the verdict and the case proceeded to Phase II, the criminal responsibility phase. Just after deliberations in Phase II...
