PAUL DANIELSON, Justice.

Appellant Charley Earl Jarrett brings this appeal from the circuit court's final judgment finding him guilty of rape and sentencing him to life imprisonment. Our court has jurisdiction pursuant to Ark. Sup.Ct. R. 1-2(a)(2) (2007). Jarrett's sole point on appeal is that the circuit court erred in denying his motion to dismiss his defense counsel, thereby not allowing Jarrett to represent himself at trial. We find no error and affirm.
