The defendant in this case was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, commission of a felony while possessing a firearm with a defaced serial or identification number, assault and battery on a police officer (two counts), and resisting arrest. A judge in the Dorchester Division of the Boston Municipal Court allowed the defendant's motion to suppress evidence recovered
