OPINION

COCHRAN, J., delivered the opinion of the unanimous Court.

A jury convicted appellant of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. The cocaine had been found hidden in the trunk of appellant's rental car after appellant was stopped for speeding. During trial, the judge denied appellant's request for an Article 38.23 jury instruction regarding the legality of his continued detention after the officer completed his investigation of the traffic...
