The appellee, Quinon Demon Freeman, was indicted for first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation of § 13A-12-213(a)(1), Ala.Code 1975. On December 6, 2006, he filed a motion to suppress evidence law enforcement officers seized from his person. After conducting a hearing, the trial court granted the appellee's motion to suppress.
