Joyce McC. and James R. are the parents of three children, Lasaiah, Dejon and Tequan. In March 2001, findings of neglect were entered against Joyce after she admitted to using excessive corporal punishment with respect to Dejon. Derivative findings of neglect were made with respect to Tequan and Lasaiah. As a result, Dejon and Lasaiah were placed in the custody of the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and Tequan was placed in the custody of his father, James R...
