A jury in the District Court convicted the defendant, Joshua Cotto, of possession of a class D substance (marijuana), G. L. c. 94C, § 34, and carrying a firearm without a license, G. L. c. 269, § 10(a). He appeals, claiming that the trial judge erred by (1) not granting his motion for a required finding of not guilty, and (2) providing the jury with erroneous and misleading instructions...
