Following a fourteen-day trial, a jury found defendants-appellants Shi Yong Wei and Lin Guang guilty of conspiracy to commit extortion, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1951. Shi was also convicted of eight substantive counts of extortion, each involving a different victim, and Lin was convicted of three of the substantive counts of extortion, counts 2, 4 and 6.
