On June 20, 2005, Judy Beam was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor offense. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the charge was later dismissed and Beam was granted deferred adjudication on the lesser charge of disorderly conduct. TEX. PENAL CODE § 42.01(a). On February 16, 2006, less than two years later, Beam filed a petition for expunction pursuant to article 55.01 of the Code of Criminal Procedure...
