TIM TAFT, Justice.

A jury convicted appellant, Carlos Landrian, of aggravated assault and assessed punishment at seven years' in prison with a recommendation for community supervision. See TEX. PEN.CODE ANN. § 22.02(a) (Vernon Supp.2006). The trial court suspended appellant's sentence and assessed punishment at seven years' community supervision.
