Terry Harris pleaded guilty to and was convicted of operating as an unregistered investment-adviser representative, a violation of § 8-6-3(b), Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced Harris to five years' imprisonment, but suspended the sentence and imposed a five-year term of unsupervised probation.
