The court properly exercised its discretion in admitting evidence of prior acts of hostility and racial animosity that "evince[d] defendant's intent to focus his aggression" (People v Bierenbaum, 301 A.D.2d 119, 150 [2002], lv denied 99 N.Y.2d 626 [2003], cert denied 540 U.S. 821 [2003]) on the victim, who rented a room from defendant's mother, and we reject defendant's argument...
