The verdict was based on legally sufficient evidence and was not against the weight of the evidence. We reject defendant's argument that the evidence failed to establish grand larceny "from the person" (Penal Law § 155.30 [5]) of two of the victims. The testimony was that, as the first victim was entering her car, defendant approached her from behind and ordered her to turn over her own valuables and to instruct the other two...
