HOLCOMB, J., delivered the opinion of the unanimous Court.

During the punishment stage of appellant's trial, the trial court admitted evidence, over appellant's objection, that was offered for the purpose of showing that he had lied on the witness stand during the guilt stage of the trial. On direct appeal, the court of appeals upheld the trial court's action. We now affirm.
