Clarence Jensen sued Jason Covington to compel him to convey the interest Covington had acquired as the purchaser in a tax sale of Jensen's real property. Jensen contended that he had tendered, or attempted to tender, the price required to redeem the property under section 34.21 of the Texas Tax Code, but that Covington thwarted his redemption attempt.
