[¶ 1] A jury found Derek Dunsmore ("the appellant") guilty of child abuse, in violation of Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-2-503(b)(i) (LexisNexis 2003), but not guilty of aggravated assault and battery, in violation of Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 6-2-502(a)(i) (LexisNexis 2003).
