Defendant failed to preserve his present challenge to the sufficiency of the evidence (see People v Padro, 75 N.Y.2d 820 [1990]), and we decline to review it in the interest of justice. Were we to review this claim, we would find that the verdict was based on legally sufficient evidence. The evidence supported the inference that when defendant unlawfully entered the victim's hospital room, he did so with intent to commit a crime...
